Ambassador to the Four Corners
Your calling is not a corner office. It is the four corners of the earth.
Jesus' final words to His disciples were not "build comfortable subcultures."
They were: "Go and make disciples of all nations" (Matthew 28:19).
And before that: "You will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth" (Acts 1:8).
Four directions. One sending. No exemptions.
Ambassadors, Not Tourists
An ambassador does not visit a country to enjoy the cuisine and leave. An ambassador represents — with authority, accountability, and a clear message from home.
You are an ambassador of heaven (2 Corinthians 5:20). That means your life carries a diplomatic mission whether your job title says "minister" or not.
The four corners are not only geographic. They are every sphere where human life happens:
| Corner | Where it shows up |
|---|---|
| Home | Marriage, parenting, roommates, family systems |
| Work | Colleagues, clients, craft, economics |
| Community | Neighbours, local institutions, civic life |
| Culture | Arts, media, ideas, the public conversation |
You do not need a pulpit to be sent. You need a passport — and you already have one.
"But I'm Not Ready"
Ambassadors are not sent because they feel ready. They are sent because they are authorised.
Readiness is often a moving target used by fear to delay obedience. The antidote is not more self-confidence. It is more trust in the One who sends you.
Start where you are:
- The anxious person who learns to pray aloud becomes an ambassador of peace.
- The recovered addict who tells the truth becomes an ambassador of freedom.
- The leader who honours people in a cutthroat industry becomes an ambassador of the Kingdom.
- The grieving person who still worships becomes an ambassador of hope.
Dual Realm Leadership
Rise Crew teaches dual realm leadership — the conviction that there is no secular/sacred split. Your Monday meeting and your Sunday worship are both mission fields.
Jesus healed bodies and taught theology. Joseph governed Egypt and honoured God. Daniel advised kings and prayed three times a day. Lydia ran a business and hosted the church.
The four corners need people who carry heaven into rooms that have never seen it — without needing a microphone to do it.
Your Sending Checklist
Answer honestly:
- Where has God already placed me? (Don't despise the ordinary.)
- What message does my life carry? (Not perfection — authenticity rooted in grace.)
- Who is one person in each "corner" I can invest in this month?
- What fear am I calling "wisdom" to avoid being sent?
A Commissioning Prayer
King Jesus, You were sent before You sent me. I receive my posting — in this home, this job, this city, this moment. Make me an ambassador who carries Your kindness, Your truth, and Your power. I will not wait for a stage. Send me to the corners. Amen.
